Glimpse of the Raging Bulls: 2010 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Mega Cab
Although there is still two months left before the 2010 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Mega Cab is unveiled to the world, some car enthusiasts were able to shoot a few snap pictures of the said unit while the models were taken out for a final shakedown.
Chrysler’s Dodge Ram Mega Cab is said to feature optional 8-foot beds in its availability in 2010. The said humongous foot box will provide more space for the fifth-wheel trailer—a feature that could be of extreme use and service when the unit is faced with tight and difficult turns.
The Mega Cab is said to boast off several features. Our sources said that fenders are stamped onto the sheet metal of the rear wheels of this particular Mega Cab unit. Like Chevrolet Silverado HD dually’s rear haunches, the fenders are not easily seen as they are camouflaged in the same color located over the rear wheels. However, notable changes in the cab’s suspension, power train and C-channel frames are said to have been of non-existence for the said Mega Cab Ram models. Both the 2010 Ram 2500 and 3500 units will still sport the same old features in the said automobile aspects.
Meanwhile, the 5.7 liter Hemi V-8 engine was said to have been upgraded to 383-horsepower/400 pound-feet of torque. Reports also said that the 2010 Ram 2500 will sport the gas-powered Hemi V-8 as its base engine. On the other hand, the diesel-fired 6.7 liter Cummin six-cylinder will be the base engine of the 2010 Ram 3500.
